Have you ever wondered what secrets lurk behind the closed doors of New York City’s wealthiest families? They’re powerful, they’re famous… they’re undead.

Schuyler Van Alen’s blood legacy has just been called into question—is the young vampire in fact a Blue Blood, or is it the sinister Silver Blood that runs through her veins? As controversy swirls, Schuyler is left stranded in the Force household, trapped under the same roof as her cunning nemesis, Mimi Force, and her forbidden crush, Jack Force.

When an ancient place of power is breached by Silver Bloods in Rio de Janeiro, however, the Blue Bloods will need Schuyler on their side. The stakes are high; the battle is bloody; and through it all, Schuyler is torn between love and passion, duty and freedom. And in the end, one vampire’s secret identity will be exposed in a revelation that shocks everyone.

Finally! My suspicions have been confirmed! I had guessed right who the Silver Blood was! Go me….

Out of the three I’ve read so far this has the most, suspense, romance. heartbreak and history. Bliss loves Dylan who in turn doesn’t know who she is as he has no memory of her. Schuyler loves Jack Force but has now come to terms with the fact he can never truly be hers. Oliver shows his hand because he still loves Schuyler who discovers deep down she returns his love.

The Silver Bloods are finally revealed on the conclaves mysterious trip to Rio! Some were expected while some were a total surprise.

I love how Melissa has added lots of history into this one. It has helped me to understand some of the characters and their past lives in more depth.

It’s a shame that certain main characters die but it makes for a great twist in the story and I can’t wait to see what comes next.

The end is totally shocking, I’m disappointed with how it finished whilst totally glad I already have the next book ‘The Van Alen Legacy’ at hand.
