Orgasmic Meditation? Therapeutic?! Kaylee Baker is horrified when her girlfriends suggest a trip to artsy Boulder, Colorado, to check out the latest craze. What her friends don’t know about Kaylee is that she is a little repressed, bordering on frigid, and the idea of a complete stranger bringing her to orgasm–therapeutic or not–is horrifying.

Blaze Donahue has admired Kaylee from afar for quite some time, and part of the reason he’s kept his distance is because he’s had no indication that she might even be interested. But when he’s given the opportunity to offer her his own version of OM with no strings attached, he makes an offer she has a hard time refusing.

When there are undeniable sparks between the two, Kaylee runs, afraid of the overwhelming feelings she has for this gorgeous, sensitive guy. Blaze feels compelled to convince her otherwise but wonders if he’ll be able to crack through the ice surrounding this sweet girl. Can they find true love or will it just be a one-time O?

Finger Bang teaser

So even before you start Finger Bang you know it’s going to be fun, I mean the title was enough to make me giggle, yes I have a dirty mind and I don’t care! And the synopsis too, another giggle from me. I couldn’t wait to dive into this one.

Finger Bang is different from any other book I’ve read, and I mean that in a good way. I was expecting it to be a fun, easy read and it was but it was so much more. Jade has a way with words, the way she writes is beautiful. It felt like one minute I was just starting and before I knew it I’d finished.

The story was great, it stayed at a steady pace and kept me interested the whole way through. It was just the right amount of funny, with lots of romance and cuteness. The development was good too, nothing was rushed and it came together nicely. I couldn’t find any faults at all, not that I expected any. 😉

I didn’t quite know what to make of Kaylee at first. She seemed icy, shy and quiet but I love how she blossomed. I really enjoyed watching everything unfold, she completely transformed. Can you imagine watching a caterpillar turning into a beautiful butterfly? Well, that’s what it was like, Kaylee finally got to spread her wings and fly. By the end of the book I wanted her to be my new BFF. She might seem unapproachable at first but she’s a really nice person and once you get to know her you can’t help but love Kaylee.

Blaze is definitely my new book boyfriend. I’d even go as far as saying I’m willing to fight to keep him! He is the sweetest, loyal, charming guy like EVER. He goes out of his way to make sure Kaylee feels as comfortable as possible and stands up for her when she feels cornered. I just LOVEEEEEEE him!

I can’t believe Jade read an article and decided to write a book about it, I mean how awesome is that. It’s a great read and had me in fits of laughter on numerous occasions. If you’re looking for a quick, fun read I highly recommend giving this one a go.

Review: Hourglass by K.S. Smith & Megan C. Smith

HourglassTitle: Hourglass
Author: K.S. Smith & Megan C. Smith
Age Group: Adult
Genre: Romance
Release Date: Summer 2014
Source: Author
Best friends since birth, Brooke Reid and Savannah Prescott, spend their days working together at top fashion magazine Hourglass, while enjoying all that the Denver nightlife has to offer – but sharing a man – no way.

One of Denver’s most eligible bachelors, Luke Wellington, can have any woman he wants and he knows it. Putting his player skills to the test, he destroys a friendship and makes two women fall in love with him as he sits back and enjoys the best of both worlds.

Brooke Reid is a woman looking for her happily ever after, and the day she literally ran in to him, she thought she’d found it. Charming, charismatic, a true gentleman – what more could she ask for? Things are going perfectly until her best friend struts in the elevator and claimed his lips right in front of her.

Savannah Prescott is interested in one thing, having a good time with every single man Denver has to offer. Being tied down is too much of a bore for her free spirited ways. Or so she thinks, but when her best friend starts dating her Friday night fling, she realizes she may be ready to turn in her game card and settle down into a real relationship.

When both girls come to the realization that they are after the same man, it means all-out war. Best friends until the end, or at least until him.

**A copy was provided for review purposes**

Brooke and Savannah are best friends, nothing can come between them…until Luke. Both women have been seeing the same man without knowing it. When they find out Luke pits them against each other. Can they get over it or will they hate each other forever?

Holy moly, mother of god! I have got one seriously bad stitch right now, and tears streaming down my face from laughing so hard, I swear. Never have I read a book that’s made me giggle so much, I had a few moments of sad tears too but they were definitely outweighed.

Hourglass is genius, I loved every minute of it. Watching everything unfold was comical, I’m glad I was in the comfort of my own home reading this, can you imagine me out in public? Bursting out laughing every 5 minuets, people would have had me committed.

I loved how well it was written, Kym and Megan made me feel every emotion right along with the girls. All the hurt, betrayal, jealousy, anger & love, I felt it all. I was an emotional wreck, I love it when a book sucks you in and you feel like you’re in the book with them, there’s nothing better.

I loved both Brooke and Savannah. Brooke is the innocent one, wanting hearts and flowers while Savannah doesn’t want to settle, she only wants a good time. They compliment each other nicely, their relationship is what every girl wants (not necessarily the fighting part but that was fun too) with their best friend. They can bitch and fight but at the end of the day they’re both willing to fight for one another.

Luke is a slimeball piece of ass! He’s charming, sexy, manipulative, arrogant and a BIG player. I hope he gets what’s coming to him, he deserves a whole world of hurt. Ergghhhh.. I’m done talking about him.

Anyway, the way the girls decide to get their revenge was sweet. Say goodbye to nice and innocent & hello to the angry, vicious Brooke. Savannah goes into momma bear mode, doing anything to protect her bestie, you go girls 😉

I don’t want to go into too much detail and spoil it for you all but I will say you need to read it, and then you can fangirl along with me. I feel like if I don’t rant about it to someone soon I’m going to burst!!!

Where’s Hourglass 2? I want it NOW!!!! ❤

A Note From The Author:

The true story of Catherine the Great is one fraught with betrayal, intrigue, and romance. While a good deal of my story is drawn from actual people and events, I have been very liberal in the rearrangement of dates, events, and places. Whenever possible I took my cues from her own words, intermixing my own thoughts and ideas. My thought upon the creation of the book was simple. I looked at the woman she was when she claimed the crown and then wondered, how did an innocent girl from Germany become such a force of nature? Most people aren’t born cold or ambitious, but have circumstances that forge them into those people. And that was the story I wanted to tell in this book. I wanted to see the events in her early life that would have changed her into the person she became, and not knowing the truth of that story, I simply made something up. That is what we, as writers, do best.

If you are curious about the real history behind Catherine, I suggest heading to your local library and doing a bit of research. This is not meant to be a historically accurate representation, but a flight of fancy, one that I hope you, dear reader, will enjoy as much as I have.

Queen of Someday

Review: The Wanderers (Wanderers #1) by Jessica Miller

The WanderersTitle: The Wanderers
Series: Wanderers, book 1
Author: Jessica Miller
Age Group: Young Adult
Genre: Paranormal, Romance
Publication Date: December 6, 2012

Ella is looking forward to starting college in the fall with her best friend Josie. She’s looking for a place where she can get away from her overbearing parents and two older annoying brothers. Unfortunately Ella realizes that sometimes the past comes back to haunt you.
Ella soon learns that the man who terrorizes her dreams is in fact real and coming after her.
When one of her classmates is murdered, Ella slowly recognizes this is not some strange coincidence. Ella fears that the boy she’s falling in love with is the one who stalks her dreams and no longer knows who she can trust.
When she finally learns the truth of her family’s deepest secret, Ella has to face her demons by taking out one of the people she thought she could trust…before they kill her.

**A copy was provided for review purposes**

Ella starts college as a normal girl, hoping to have a good time with her best friend Josie. Being normal doesn’t last long when she learns her family has been keeping deadly secrets from her. She’s in danger and doesn’t even realise it as she’s been kept in the dark. Ella needs to learn who she can trust and who’s the bad guy before she gets herself killed.

The Wanderers was so unexpected. After reading the synopsis I always play the guessing game, most of the time I get some bits right but not with this one, it took me completely by surprise, and what a nice surprise it was.

The storyline was great, full of friendship, partying, lying, anger, love, fighting, murder and surprises. It had a bit of everything and I really enjoyed it. It kept me in it’s claws the whole way and I was sad to see it end. Jessica’s writing is great, she kept me on the edge of my seat, iPad glued to hand unable to put it down until I’d finished it.

I feel sorry for Ella, it seems everyone knows who and what she is besides her. And then to learn the truth and how deep the lies were, it must have been devastating. But she took it well, she stayed strong and made the best of it. Not all of her decisions were great though and it just added more excitement.

Tristan annoyed me pretty much the whole way through, but I liked him at the same time. One second I wanted to strangle him and the next he was making me giggle like a school girl. In the end though I loved him, the length he showed he’d go to for Ella made me all teary eyed. He’s another one though that made some really crappy decisions, and the outcome was heartbreaking.

I’m not even going to get into the bad guys because knowing me I’ll say something and give it away without meaning to. All I would like to say to them is you stupid, lying farts! :/ grrrr…. I was so angry when I got to the end, just how can it finish there? I wanted to scream and probably would have if I didn’t already have Reborn, book 2 in the series.

Review: Rising (Rising #1) by Holly Kelly

Genre: Fantasy, Romance, Mermaids

Xanthus is a soldier, the most lethal Dagonian in the sea. Sara’s a human half-breed, an abomination loathed and abhorred by his kind. Xanthus’s job is simple: hunt Sara down and destroy her. There’s only one problem. She’s the most beautiful, most exquisite and disarmingly sweet woman he’s ever met. When he refuses to carry out his duty, the executioner becomes the protector, and the hunter becomes the hunted.

OMG the prologue! I think it was awesome, and just wow. Can you imagine that happening to you, that’d be a story to tell people wouldn’t it haha! You seriously need to read it if you haven’t already!!!! Fangirling right now 😉

I absolutely loved this book right the way through to the epilogue which was also amazing! The writing was magical, seriously, I felt like I was under a spell. All day I was like “hmmm… I’ll just finish this chapter then I better do the cleaning before my man gets home” but nope no cleaning has been done today, bad I know but I just couldn’t help it 😉

Mermaids are one of my favourite fantasy/mythical creatures. The only way they can get better in my eyes is if they could fly. And they sort of can in Rising as they hover so I was well pleased. I also liked how it wasn’t just mermaids but Dagonians too who are sort of like Mers but not and yeah they totally hate each other which just a whole lot of fun to the tale.

Sara is a character you just can’t help but love. Even though she has had a rubbish life she still makes the most of it and powers through. Yeah so she hides her body as she’s self-conscious but she doesn’t let it stop her from going out (much), she’s still determined to do everything herself. I admired her a lot and was made up with how things turned out! You go girl 😛

Xanthus *wipes drool from chin* is a sexy beast, well dagonian but still. He’s just full of yumminess. He’s 7foot tall, muscular, crazy-good looking and goes out of his was to help Sara and make sure she’s safe *swoon* arrgghhhh I think I’m in love. I can’t say much more about him I’m afraid or I wont be able to stop and I’ll ruin it for everyone who has yet to read it.

Just wow, everything about Rising is incredible. The plot, the writing, the romance, the fighting. It had the right amount of everything and I LOVED it. You guys get the point yet? Haha

And now I’m desperate to find out what happens next. But I have Descending (book 2) so I’ll be starting that as soon as I finish writing this review YAY. If you love fantasy books, and/or mermaids then I highly recommend reading the Rising series. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed, I sure wasn’t!
