Waiting on Wednesday #8

WoW

“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill @ Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases we’re eagerly anticipating!

My pick this week is…

After the EndTitle: After the End
Series: After the End, book 1
Author: Amy Plum
Age Group: Young Adult
Genre: Sci-fi, Dystopian
Release Date: May 6, 2014 by HarperTeen
Synopsis
World War III has left the world ravaged by nuclear radiation. A lucky few escaped to the Alaskan wilderness.

They′ve survived for the last thirty years by living off the land, being one with nature, and hiding from whoever else might still be out there.

At least, this is what Juneau has been told her entire life.

When Juneau returns from a hunting trip to discover that everyone in her clan has vanished, she sets off to find them. Leaving the boundaries of their land for the very first time, she learns something horrifying: There never was a war. Cities were never destroyed. The world is intact.

Everything was a lie.

Now Juneau is adrift in a modern-day world she never knew existed. But while she′s trying to find a way to rescue her friends and family, someone else is looking for her. Someone who knows the extraordinary truth about the secrets of her past.

This sounds so amazing. Can you imagine living your life hiding only to find out the whole thing was a lie? I’d be absolutely furious and want to kick some ass. I don’t want to wait until May *pouts*

What are you waiting to get your hands on?

Ahhh, yes! I really enjoyed her Die For Me series (though, I still haven’t read #3 yet) but I’m a total conspiracy (yes, I’m one of those people, haha) and it kind of sounds like it’s one. So can’t wait to read it either. Thanks for stopping by mine earlier. 🙂

I’ve been seeing some kind of mixed reviews for this, so I’m wary, but on paper, I am so excited for this! I’ve not read any of Amy Plum’s books, though I want to. 🙂 Great pick!!
